One of the biggest problems touch tablets are facing is the way you best use them, as there is not clear yet how people are going to use this type of gadget, how it will fall between netbooks and a fully fledged laptop or desktop. A recent report is saying that consumers are eager (52.3%) to work on the go using tablets. I’m a little amazed by this finding as I can’t see how you can use a tablet to work, especially a touch tablet  with no hardware keyboard and limited hardware capabilities. Of course, if your job involves making a lot of schematics, taking notes on the go I could see how you can work on a touchscreen tablet.

Now, another interesting article shows a few activities where touch tablets like the iPad could work better compared to other mobile devices and they had come up with things like: entry-level 3D video, basic video editing, multi-touch gaming, multi-person gaming, multi-person video/photo view, page-per-view documents, long duration web experience, rich document / media creation, media organization, and mapping. Of course those activities are just suggestions, as the future of tablets depends on how consumers perceive and use them.
