If you have an iPhone there’s a chance you are bored with the included Safari browser which is fast but not the fastest and lacks a lot of features that other mobile browsers like Opera Mini and Opera Mobile have for quite some time. Today Opera announced that they’ve submitted a new version of Opera Mini for the iPhone/iPad on the app store and are waiting for Apple’s approval or disapproval.

    It’s not the first time they did that, but maybe this time they won’t get rejected (I sincerely doubt that, as Apple has all the interest in ensuring a larger market share for its Safari mobile browser). To make things a little funnier Opera is holding a contest on their website where the person who manages to guess moment (or get close enough) Apple approves Opera Mini app wins an iPhone. I took my chances and picked a date sometime in the next few weeks as the option for selecting “Never” was not in the list.
