Like many other manufacturers, Apple is working continuously to improve its products, so now they’re developing the second generation iPad tablet. In this case is normal for rumors to surface already about it and the most recent of them refers to the screen that will be fitted on the second iPad, which seems to be an OLED model.
Using an OLED screen means higher contrast, color accuracy, brightness and viewing angles, which means better performance in all fields than current LED screens. Unfortunately, a disadvantage of OLED screen is the price, out of this world even for small screens, like the 9.7 inches of the iPad. That’s the main concern of analysts who say they don’t see an OLED screen in the second generation device.
They also point out that Apple should improve the internal storage capacity, add a few USB ports and even an SD card slot, before jumping to things like better screens or battery life, two aspects where iPad didn’t receive any complaints till now.
