Apple already sold 3 millions iPads, but I bet they’re not resting on their laurels and are working on the iPad 2 (actual name not disclosed yet and will never be till launch time). But that doesn’t mean we don’t know anything about it, as a recent report from Digitimes brings small clues about the second generation iPad, a device which will sell in multiple screen sizes, with 5.6 and 7 inch model options, all of which will be OLED in nature.
Personally, I doubt Apple will launch a 5.6 model and think that a series of 7, 9 and 11 inches would be better appreciated by consumers. There’s also the thing with the screen resolution, which makes necessary for developers to rewrite some of the apps to look better on all devices. But letting suppositions aside, I’m curios if Apple will bring any major changes to the functionality of the device, like a keyboard dock (found on the upcoming Asus EEE Pad) and the like. Till then (probably next year) all we have to do is wait.
Let me know what you think about iPad 2 in the comment box below.
I read somewhere else about a rumored that Apple was shrinking the MacBook Air to 11.5 inches. If they’re revamping the MacBook Air, maybe it will be similar to the EEE Pad.
I doubt Apple will add touch capabilities to the Air anytime soon, but we’ll see :)
