Now with 5 days till the official shipping launch in stores of the iPad it’s time to take a short look at the main features of this tablet: Apple just uploaded on their website the official Guided Tours of iPad‘s main features. As expected, you can’t embed them. It would be too open from Apple’s part, but I guess anyone can type www.apple.com on their browser and take a look at those high quality videos (the printscreen below is from one of them).

From a quick look at them I’ve seen that tapping and holding almost always brings up a menu with additional options, which is good. It seems that a Dictionary is also present, which shows the meaning of the words you’re interested in (read the words you tap on). Interesting is also the Numbers app that helps you ‘work’ on your iPad with office spreadsheets documents (that can by imported and synchronized with your PC). To enter data in the Numbers App the iPad displays a special keyboard which, according to Apple, is “so intelligent” that knows what kind of data you are about to add. Pages is the app that deals with text documents, and here is clear that the virtual keyboard is no match for a physical one, but for occasional work it might get enough points, not for me though.

Take a look at the videos and let me know what you think. Did it change your perception on the iPad, as mine was just confirmed?
