Touch screen tablet - What’s a touch tablet?

Definition of a touch tablet: it’s device with all the functions of a laptop, has a touchscreen enabled display and does not have a hardware keyboard (if it had it would be called a Tablet PC). When you think of a touch screen tablet you think of a notebook (the paper kind) that allows you to digitally store what you write or draw. It’s small size and weights less compared to a regular laptop, being designed for comfortable use.

Usually touch tablets have special versions of operating systems, customized desktop version in order to take advantage of the touchscreen capabilities a touch tablet possesses. Recently many manufacturers expressed their interest in touch tablets (I’m thinking Microsoft and Apple here), but those products still have not hit shelves.
