Now that Dell Streak finally appeared in US it’s time to take a look at what you can do to accessorize the tablet once you got your own. Let’s face it: a Dell streak without a carrying case, a Bluetooth headset and a screen protector is nothing to be proud of. Those things are a must for Dell Streak (or any other tablet for that matter), especially a carrying case that makes moving around all the time not a problem for that gorgeous 5 inch screen. In this article I’m going to present you the best Dell Streak cases you can purchase from stores at this moment. Note that I’m also going to write about Dell Streak cases found outside US. I know they’re harder to get, but if you really want the best case for your Dell Streak I believe it’s worth the effort. A case for Dell Streak or a screen protector?

At the same time a screen protector for Dell Streak will only protect the already hardened Gorilla glass against scratches, but the rest remains at God’s will.

Of course the screen protector is cheaper, so it all comes to what do you want: better protection or a cheaper accessory for Dell Streak. Personally, I recommend you get a carrying case as it’s more versatile and there will be plenty of Dell Streak cases that won’t cost an arm and a leg.

What makes the Skinomi TechSKin Carbon Fiber different is the use of same film material used to protect military aircraft which also features a smooth, non-sticky surface with patented layer of UV protection to prevent “yellowing”, the most important factor affecting general looks (functionality remains the same, the be fair). The manufacturer even touts lifetime replacements if something goes wrong. I say it’s worth the 20 bucks you pay for it.

Let’s see what Dell recommends us as a Streak accessory: pouch style carrying case with integrated fold-out kickstand for watching movies on the go. The Premium Wallet case also includes storage slots for MicroSD cards, business and credit cards. The design is simple but classy at the same style, thanks to the quality leather used throughout the case externals and internals.

This is a case sold by Amazon UK and it’s pretty competitive (compared to the Official Dell Streak cases), selling for around 15 $, plus shipping. For this kind of money you get a durable leather case with hand made stitching to ensure long life durability. I wouldn’t say it’s a premium case, but surely is a nice looking leather pouch that can be attached to your belt. It closes easily with the help of a magnet, so there’s not much you have to do get it out then someone rings or you feel the urge to check your email.
